Day 184.... Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

Today the kids had a field trip to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. They were really excited about going. The girls really wanted to get dressed up to attend the performance so we had John and Jack spiff up a bit as well. They looked so great going out the door. Maddies goal last night was to look sophisticated I think she pulled it off.

They loved the performance. It was geared towards kids and showcased music from all over the world. Lots of fun on this cold rainy day in Georgia!!

Day 181.. Sequin Ball Ornaments

Today we made sparkly, fun, sequin ornaments for our tree. We made them out of styrofoam balls, straight pins and sequins. They were really easy to do and turned out so pretty. We paired up in teams of two to make them as I thought it would take awhile to make each one. I was right this craft will take a little patience. The end result was really cute.

Our finished ornaments.. Super easy. Push a pin through a sequin onto the ball. Keep repeating until you cover the styrofoam. I used some star garland twisted together to make a handle for our ornament. The kids loved them!! Fun and easy!!

Day 179.... Nutcracker

I remember when I was a little girl my mom and sisters were going to see the Nutcracker with my Grandma. They told me I was too little to go. I remember them talking about how they were going to get dressed up and how much fun it was going to be. I remember wanting to go so badly. Christmas morning came that year and there buried in my Christmas Stocking was a Nutcracker ticket. I was thrilled to get to go see the Nutcracker, and I have loved it ever since!

Today was our 5th annual Nutcracker date with Grandma. Every year we go to a school day showing at the Roswell cultural Arts Center. She always buys the girls a special ornament, and then we go to lunch after seeing the wonderful show. It is the one date that is girls only and we all absolutely love it! Such a fun day!!

Day 178... Magical Nights of Lights

Tonight we sang with our Home School Co/op Group at the 19th annual Magical Nights of Lights. This is our 3rd year singing in the Holiday Tent. The kids always enjoy it. They love the huge carousel coming in, the bridge onto the island, and of course Icicle Tunnel our absolute favorite. They also love the big fire pits and roasted marshmallows, and looking through the magical gift shop. A fun family night.

My camera has sadly bit the dust so I am thankful for this one picture that my friend Chad took.
