Not exactly Martha Stewart quality when it came to the making of the recipe or the results but they tried and that is what matters right? The more they try the better they will get at it. Our tip: Fill the cupcake lower than usual. Ours were way too big and overflowed which ruined the candy corn look.
Our FUN mission began on June 7, 2011 and we finished it on June 5, 2012!! Our goal was to spend quality family time with our four kids known as the Greeneteam. We had a great time checking items off a year long bucket list and now we look forward to adding new things as we complete them. "Life is an adventure" and we are trying to enjoy every minute of it with our kids!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Day 135... Candy Corn Cupcakes
Tonight the kids attempted to make candy corn cupcakes. The recipe yellow cake mix, half dyed orange. Fill the bottom of the cupcake liner with yellow batter then top with orange batter. Bake, cool, and then top with icing and candy corns. The kids had fun and the cupcakes were yummy.

The kids love measuring and pouring the ingredients.
Sometimes they love it so much that the ingredients don't make it in the bowl. OOPS!
Maddie excited for the results.
Makenna is always a willing taste tester. The sweeter the better!!
The results..
Love a man who bakes!!

So, what you're saying is bigger is not always better?? Hmmmm..... :-) They're still way cute, and the bakers all look pleased. That's what counts.
