367... Croquet

When I was a kid we played croquet, horse shoes, and jarts whenever we went to my Grandma's in WVA. It was a summer and family tradition.  Today while we were visiting my Grandma we got the set out. It was a little tricky for the kids at first, but then they started to get the hang of it. 

My Aunts, Uncles and Grandma enjoyed watching the Greeneteam play their first round of croquet.

My kids especially loved when Aunt Nancy became a stinger and started coming after them all. This is  still a fun family sport/game after all these years. 

Day 314... Baseball

Today I couldn't wait to take all the kids to see a local baseball game. A friend of ours was playing on a travelling team, so we headed out to cheer him on.

Maddie had fun with her friend, Abby doing anything but watching the game. Girls will be girls I guess!!

My guys watching the game. I sure do wish they were the ones out on the field. I loved when my brothers played Little League baseball. Such great memories!! Maybe one day!!

Our friend Nicholas got a great hit and ended up scoring a run for his team. They won 14-9!! Way to go guys. My friend told me that golfing great Jack Nicklaus's grandson plays on this team. Sadly, Jack was not at the game cheering today. Boy wouldn't he have been fun to see!! 

On the way out of the park, the kids decided to run the bases a time or two. Fun!! While running,  Jack found a baseball. He had wanted to catch one the whole game. 

Really happy we went today to see a community sport. I think it is a great way to teach the kids about the game without spending a bunch of money on tickets. Prior to today my crew knew very little about "Americas favorite pastime." Tonight they know a little more. A fun day seeing friends and watching baseball.

Day 241... Kickball

The weather was gorgeous today here in Georgia. We decided to take advantage and get outside for a bit. Makenna chose playing kickball. We had lots of fun even if the teams were not fair. John was like a ringer for Carson and Maddies team. He practically kicked the ball over the fence every time. Oh well!! Fun even if my team lost!!

Day 207..... Ping Pong Round Robin Style!!

While we have been in Colorado the kids have loved learning to play ping pong. Jack really wanted to get the cousins together to play a round of Round Robin. John now wants to get a ping pong table.. maybe someday in the garage. A fun game even if I do not have the coordination to play it.

Day 169... Soccer

It was 70+ degrees today. We decided to take advantage of the weather and head to the beach for some soccer fun!! The kids and daddy had a blast running on the sand peninsula kicking the soccer ball. John used to play so getting out with the kids was lots of fun for him!! Too bad we can't do this one daily. I loved shooting the pictures, being at the beach, and watching them play one of Johns favorite games. A great family night of free fun!!

Day 167... Bike Riding

It is another gorgeous fall day here in Georgia. The team wanted to get out and enjoy some bike riding. They love speeding up and down the hills here in the neighborhood. John did lots of adjusting on tires and seats but then we kicked back and just watched the kids ride. Maybe one of these days we will have bikes too and can join them.

Day 152.. Ice Hockey

Tonight we went to see the Gladiators Ice Hockey Team with friends.The kids get free tickets through a reading program each year and they love going. Always a great time!!

Day 142... GHOUL GOLF

Tonight we took the kids to Malibu in Norcross for some FREE putt putt. They are running a kids free mini golf promotion until Halloween. If you like them on FB and then go under their page to GHOUL GOLF there is a printout coloring page. If the kids fill it in with a picture they get a free round of mini golf. Offer is good until Halloween Day! Gotta love that!!

Our two top golfers Daddy and Carson both got a hole in one. Way to go guys!! Jack rounded out the top three for an all boys win Bronze, Silver, and Gold. We will get them next time girls!!

Day 108... Frisbee Fun!!

Tonight we headed to the beach for a little Frisbee fun!! I love watching the kids help each other learn something new. Jack and I ended up being the master Frisbee throwers!!
