Day 107... Leaf Hunt

A leaf hunt was today's fun. I saw a Martha Stewart post on drying leaves before you use them for a craft. It takes 1 to two weeks to dry them out. Who knew??

I have a great craft in mind for the fall and thought we better go on a hunt for the perfect leaves. We live close to an environmental center, it was an excellent place for tonight's fall adventure. The leaves are not at peak so we may have to head out another time or two before we have all the colors that we need.

When we came home with our fresh leaves we placed them inside our Child Craft Encyclopedias. We will leave them there for at least 10 days and then try to tackle a fall craft.

A fun night getting out on the trails looking for just the right leaf!!
