Day 23... A Visit to Biltmore

The kids and I had an amazing day visiting The Biltmore Estate today with my sisters. It was our first time there and we all loved it. The Outside of the house is gorgeous and the gardens beautiful. We had a great lunch at The Stable Cafe. We had so much fun that I upgraded my pass so that we can go back and enjoy each season for the next 12 months. Kids are free under 16 when you upgrade. How great is that? We are looking forward to a few more visits and definitely a few more fun adventures!!

Day 22... Goodwill "TREASURE" Hunting!

Today we had a GUEST SPONSOR for our Fun Day. Aunt Lisa is in town and it was her day to plan the FUN!! We went on a TREASURE HUNT at Goodwill. The kids loved having mad money to spend on treasures. Jack was the most over budget at $8, Carson spent a little over $7, Maddie was at $5.08 and the winner with just under $5 was Makenna. They loved picking out their own things and especially loved getting to pay for them at the register. Thanks again Aunt Lisa for a Fun day!!

Day 18...MAKING GIANT COOKIES

Tonight John had the idea to make GIANT cookies with the kids. They all loved the idea and were so excited to try to make them. I asked John 'Why GIANT cookies instead of just regular cookies?" and he said "Well to UP THE FUN of course".. Too funny!! I am giving him props for the idea. Not something I would have thought of. Way to go baby.

Day 16.. Trip to McDonalds for Happy Meals

I am out of town for the next week. My husband John is taking charge of the FUN so get ready. The kids have promised that they will continue the mission even though I am away.

Tonight they went out for Happy Meals. You might be wondering why this would be a fun activity when most kids probably get a happy meal weekly or certainly monthly. The answer... WE DO NOT BUY HAPPY MEALS. We generally stick to the dollar menu as a rule. Going with dad tonight to get a Happy Meal ( code get a free toy) was a big deal. They have been seeing the commercials for Pokemon and Dolls and really wanted to go. They loved it and after they ate played in the play land and had a great time.

Day 15.... Explore a new waterpark

Today the kids and I met a friend at Lenora Park in Snellville. It is one of Gwinnett's water parks and was a lot of fun. Things we loved about it.. Price can't be beat! Residents of the city pay $4 for the kids and $5 for 12 and up. Non residents pay double though..OUCH!! My favorite thing is that food and drink are allowed to be brought in. When you spend 4-6 hours at a water park with 4 kids this is HUGE!! The park itself was very nice, 2 water slides for 48" and up, a smaller play area with a couple of small slides for little ones. A nice lazy river and an outdoor pool. The life guards seemed to be very flexible on food and drink. Even though the signs said designated food areas everyone seemed to be drinking and eating where they were. If I had to give a few negatives the line to get in was long with just one person checking everyone in. Also, they could use 2 or 3 more big umbrella's with chairs. It was a fun day and really nice to visit someplace new!!

The team ready to hit the slides at the new water park!!

Day 14... Trip to the Pet Store

Tonight we went to the pet store to give our fish Fishy a Face lift so to speak. His tank was looking very dingy. I told the kids that possibly we would look for a new fish if we found one we loved. Miraculously the perfect Beta fish was there waiting for us to adopt. The kids were very excited!! The only thing left was to find the perfect name!

Seriously you have to love this happy little face!!
We prefer to go to PetSmart on Saturdays when they have the animals outside for adoption. But looking at the birds, fish, and hamsters is fun too!!
This was Fishy's Current home. Definitely in need of sprucing up.
FROM DRAB TO FAB!! For just $3 his house now looks great!!

Day 13... Bowling

Happy Fathers Day!! Ready to bowl!!

Love this one of Carson and John.

Ready to beat Dad!!

Today we went bowling for Fathers Day. There is a summer strike series for kids that allows them to bowl 1 game free every day all summer. After that games are just $1. Not a bad deal. Shoes run $3.25 but still makes for a pretty inexpensive activity. Today for Fathers Day they let Dad bowl for $1 a game too. They had a blast even though Dad beat them on every game.

Day 12... Studio Movie Grill

Today's fun adventure was to go to Studio Movie Grill and watch a guy movie!! In general going out to the theater is a HUGE treat for our kids because we never spend the money to take them. GROUPON ran a special a few weeks back that was the movie and a drink for $5 not a bad deal. If you have never been to SMG it is a lot of fun. You dine in the theater while watching your movie. Instead of a refreshment area outside there is a bar in the entry. The food is reasonably priced and very good. This is a great place for a ladies night out or in our case a day of family fun!!

Off to see X-Men with Dad at Studio Movie Grill in Roswell.

Ready for some fun at Dave and Busters!!

John thought this Power Hour card was a great deal. $10 each and they played for an hour!!

The boys loved this Harley Motorcycles in LA game!!

Tonight John took the boys for a little GUY time!! He headed to Dave and Busters at Discover Mills. We had a $25 gift card (thanks Aunt Dee Dee). We saw online that they offered a Power Hour special after 9:00pm. $10 each and they got to play for an hour. John thought this was a GREAT deal. The boys, and I mean all three had a blast and came home saying that they needed a guys night once a month at least!! FUN!!

Day 9....Picnic

GRANDMA WITH THE GREENETEAM. READY FOR A PICNIC AT THE LAKE!

GRANDMA AND MAKENNA

Picnics are one of my favorite things to do with the kids. We pretty much do them year round. Today when we met Grandma to switch out kids for "Grandma Dates" we had one. Simple, easy, inexpensive and always fun!! Highly recommend putting one on your summer list of fun!!

Day 8... Outdoor Water Park

Today's Summer fun was at an outdoor water park. Frances Meadows is loads of fun with 2 slides, a lazy river, and a kid splash area. It also has two pools indoors. I love the large umbrella's and lounge chairs they are perfect for relaxing! My suggestion would be to arrive at opening and stay until 2:00. The crowd gets pretty heavy then. No outside food or drink is allowed but the prices for food are pretty reasonable. All in all a super fun day!

Ready to wash cars and bikes!!

Some had more fun than others!!

Having fun!!

Happy Fathers day Dad!!

Trying to dry off but I am having too much fun spraying them all.

One of my husbands little pet peeves is the cars NOT being clean. Today for our FUN activity the kids and I surprised him and cleaned the car. When he pulled in we washed his too!! Lots of fun on a hot day, a nice present, and FREE!!
